Kids Create Digital Books is a resource for creating digital story books. Many of our children already enjoy writing and illustrating original stories. This tool gives them the opportunity to create digital versions to share with family and friends. Help your child upload family photos and create a story about a recent vacation. Young children can use online pictures or original artwork to create an alphabet book or a word-less picture book. Parents should also be aware that it is free to sign up and there aren't any outside ads on the site, though it encourages publishing stories at a specific price (again no purchase necessary to create online books).

Professional Development

Due to professional development days and records day there will be no school TOMORROW, October 20; NEXT WEDNESDAY, Oct 25 and Tuesday, November 7.

Next Week: Skate Party at Skate Zone 71

Get ready for a fun-filled evening with Indianola families! Tuesday, October 24th from 6-8:30 pm will be our Skate Party Fundraiser at Skate Zone 71 near Morse Rd and I-71. Admission is $3.00 and skate rental is additional: $3.00 for roller, $4.00 for inline. Young and old, lace up those skates and get moving as we celebrate our community with a fun way to exercise! A portion of all admissions will come back to Indianola to fund other PTO events and activities. Remember, parents, there is NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, October 25th, so this is a perfect night for skating!

Wellness Week Needs YOU!

Wellness Week will be the last week of October and we need YOUR help to make it happen. The week will include fun and educational activities for students on social, emotional, intellectual and physical wellness.

There are volunteer opportunities both before the school day starts, mid-morning, during lunch/recess hours, and at the end of the school day. You can play a game during recess, pass out food samples, or stamp cards during Mileage Club.
